Obsidian Utilities Mod gives you the opportunity to use the shiny or the black rocks, combining water with lava for more usability by creating the Nether portals. This Mod will give you some new weapons, like swords, pickaxe, shovel and hoe, but also an awesome purple-black armor.
One great feature of the Obsidian Utilities Mod is that all the items are purple-black color, they look like the obsidian in Minecraft world. You can smelt the bricks into obsidian ingots, and after you can use them like the normal ingots. The Obsidian Armor will stay as long as diamond gear, but the obsidian is so easy to find you can save the diamonds for other important uses.
The Obsidian Utilities Mod will not add anything else into Minecraft, but this mod is perfect for the players that love the Hardcore mode.
