The Waila Mod also know as What Am I Looking At, is an extension for the Not Enough Items Mod (NEI). Basically when you done the installation it will show in the tooltip what mod an items is from and since the tooltip contains the mod name you can easily parse any item per mods. This is really useful in some conditions and I also want to tell you that’s not all, you will notice instantly that it also improved the user interface in the game by providing the block information directly in game without any requirements to open another UI or something else. In other words when you’re looking at a certain block you will see the block information in a tooltip on top of the screen.
The Waila Mod also provides a powerful API that will help the moders to add their own information about the blocks so due this if you are a mod developer with this great API you will make your mod standout from the other mods, even from similar ones like yours.
But even after your read these review you’re not decided to get the mod I can tell you that there are few integrated modules that will show internal information of some specific blocks. The IC2 machines show the In/Out voltage and the Backpack tanks shows the content, capacity and amount of fluid.
